Kuwait Records Strong Activity in Real Estate Transactions

The Kuwait real estate transactions sector recorded steady activity in 2025, with government data showing more than a thousand brokerage and valuation-related operations. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported that the real estate services system handled 1,146 transactions during the year, reflecting continued demand in brokerage and property appraisal services across the country.

Officials from the Real Estate Services and Valuation Department said the figures highlight ongoing efforts to regulate the market. They also pointed to improvements in licensing procedures and professional standards within the sector. According to the ministry, these measures aim to strengthen transparency and support long-term stability in Kuwait’s property market.

Brokerage services made up the majority of activity, with 1,091 transactions recorded. These generated fees of about KD 17,750. The ministry explained that renewal applications for brokerage licenses ranked highest among all procedures, reaching 409 requests. This shows a strong trend of continued participation from active brokers in the market.

Other common transactions included 211 requests for issuing broker identification cards and 167 applications for brokerage books. In addition, 149 applications involved license cancellations, while 96 focused on renewing broker IDs. Authorities also processed smaller numbers of administrative requests, including changes to brokerage structures and deputy-related updates.

The ministry also recorded activity in specialized brokerage procedures. These included applications for issuing new broker IDs, renewing deputy licenses, and modifying existing brokerage arrangements. Officials noted that even minor administrative transactions contribute to improving the regulatory framework and ensuring accurate market records.

The Kuwait real estate transactions data also covered the appraisal sector, which accounted for 55 transactions. These generated fees of approximately KD 5,100. Most of these applications involved issuing or renewing real estate appraiser licenses. The ministry emphasized the importance of valuation services in maintaining fair property pricing and market confidence.

In addition, the Commercial Licensing Department for Real Estate Activities processed 910 transactions during the same period. Authorities confirmed that all applications received approval without rejections. This reflects streamlined procedures and improved administrative efficiency in handling real estate-related services.

Officials said the overall figures demonstrate consistent engagement in Kuwait’s real estate sector. They also noted that regulatory improvements continue to support both professionals and investors. As demand for property services remains steady, authorities expect further development in licensing systems and digital processing tools.

The Kuwait real estate transactions report highlights a structured and active market environment. With continued oversight and modernization efforts, the sector is expected to maintain its role as a key contributor to the country’s economic activity.
