Kuwait Expected Eid Al-Adha Date for 2026 Announced

Kuwait is expected to observe Eid Al-Adha in late May 2026, in line with preliminary calculations based on the Islamic lunar calendar, while final confirmation will depend on the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah crescent moon.

The anticipated timing places the holiday around 27 May 2026, corresponding to 10 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH. As with other Islamic occasions, the exact date may vary by one day depending on official moon-sighting committees in the region.

The expected schedule places emphasis on coordination with wider Gulf countries, many of which align their religious holidays closely with Saudi Arabia due to the timing of Hajj rituals in Makkah. Final government announcements are typically issued closer to the holiday period.

In Eid Al-Adha in Kuwait 2026, the occasion is expected to include a public holiday period for both government and private sector employees, although the official duration will be confirmed once the state issues its decree.

The holiday traditionally coincides with the Hajj pilgrimage and the ritual of Qurbani, during which families across Kuwait and the wider Muslim world observe religious customs and charitable giving.

As in previous years, residents are advised to wait for official confirmation from Kuwaiti authorities, as the final date remains tied to lunar observations rather than fixed Gregorian calendar scheduling.

In Eid Al-Adha in Kuwait 2026, authorities are expected to release final holiday details closer to the occasion, in line with regional practice across the Gulf.
