In celebration of Kuwait’s National Day and Liberation Anniversary, the Deanship of the Diplomatic Corps organized a special open family day at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex, bringing together approximately 170 diplomats and their families. The event offered a chance for the international diplomatic community to join in the festivities and show their appreciation for Kuwait.

Celebrating Kuwait’s Rich Culture and International Ties
His Excellency Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Kuwait, acknowledged Kuwait’s deep importance within the diplomatic community. He highlighted how the country’s local customs, events, and initiatives, such as participation in the Kuwait Marathon, foster a sense of belonging for the international community. Zubaydzoda stressed that the diplomatic corps’ involvement in these events not only strengthens international ties but also supports Kuwait’s rich cultural heritage.
Aziz Al-Dehani, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, also shared his thoughts, underscoring that both governmental and private institutions participate in Kuwait’s national celebrations. Al-Dehani emphasized that Kuwait is deeply appreciated by people across the world, noting the country’s cultural significance and global recognition.

Diplomats Unite in Solidarity and Celebration
The open family day served as a testament to Kuwait’s standing as a hub for international collaboration. Al-Dehani expressed his gratitude for the Deanship of the Diplomatic Corps’ initiative, stating that such events underscore Kuwait’s global reputation. He emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ participation in the event is an integral part of its diplomatic efforts, aimed at deepening relationships with the international community.

He also discussed the operating hours of the consular department during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, assuring the public that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to serve citizens and residents with flexible schedules.

A Heartfelt Appreciation for Kuwait’s Independence and Liberation Days
Ambassador Zubaydzoda highlighted that the Deanship’s initiatives, including participation in events such as the Kuwait Marathon, aim to foster a greater understanding of Kuwait’s customs and traditions. He also noted that Kuwait’s selection as the capital of Arab culture for 2035 makes this year’s celebration particularly significant. For the diplomatic corps, these celebrations are an opportunity to express solidarity with the people of Kuwait on their Independence and Liberation Days.

Engaging Activities and Competitions
Engineer Duaij Al-Otaibi, President of the Kuwaiti and Arab Federation of the Kuwaiti Shooting Club, welcomed the diplomatic missions with warmth, expressing gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for facilitating the event. He also commended the diplomats’ participation in Kuwait’s national celebrations.
During the shooting competition, held as part of the day’s festivities, Khaled Elsharkawy, one of the participating diplomats, scored an impressive 48 points out of 50, one of the highest scores recorded in the challenge.
This celebration not only served as a moment for diplomats to enjoy time with their families but also to deepen their connections with the Kuwaiti people, reinforcing the strong bond between Kuwait and the international community.
