The meeting, led by the Prime Minister, reviewed major updates across economic, social, and international files. The Cabinet first discussed the delegation that will travel to Bahrain for the upcoming GCC Supreme Council session on December 3. The delegation includes senior officials from several ministries, and they will represent Kuwait in talks focused on regional cooperation. Additionally, the Cabinet highlighted the strong ties between Kuwait and the UAE and noted the launch of the “Celebrating Decades of Brotherhood” initiative. The ministers praised the long and steady friendship between the two countries.
Moreover, the Minister of Electricity, Water, Renewable Energy, Finance, and Economic Affairs presented a detailed update on the Prime Minister’s recent visit to the GE Vernova Technology Center. The center now marks ten years in Kuwait and plays a major role in energy innovation. The Cabinet welcomed the center’s work and encouraged further cooperation with KDIPA to attract more investment. This point, the ministers said, supports broader efforts to maintain national progress.
The Cabinet then congratulated Oman on its 55th National Day and highlighted the strong bilateral relationship. The ministers also reviewed a report from the Ministry of Health regarding overseas treatment. The report covered evacuation services, virtual health offices, financial regulations, and service improvements. The Cabinet directed all relevant ministers to submit updates every six months to keep this file moving forward.
Furthermore, the Cabinet approved the demolition of 67 dangerous buildings in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Several ministries will coordinate the operation to protect public safety and reduce long-standing risks. The ministers also reviewed Kuwait’s upgraded credit rating from Standard & Poor’s, which now stands at AA- with a stable outlook. They noted clear progress in economic reforms, infrastructure development, diversification, and long-term planning.
Internationally, the Cabinet celebrated Kuwait’s election to UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee for a four-year term. They also commended the aviation authority for achieving strong results in the ICAO safety audit. The ministers said the results show Kuwait’s readiness for operations at the new airport terminal.
Finally, the Cabinet approved decisions related to citizenship verification and referred several agenda items to specialized committees for further study. The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to strengthen public services, advance long-term reforms, and keep Kuwait on a steady path of development.
