Kuwait Cabinet Focuses on Super Cup, Food Trucks, and Davos Participation

Kuwait’s Cabinet discussed key projects during its weekly meeting at Bayan Palace on Tuesday. The session covered sports, business, and international events.

The meeting began with an update on the French Super Cup, set for Thursday at Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium. Paris Saint-Germain will play Marseille. Officials highlighted careful coordination to ensure the event runs smoothly and reflects Kuwait’s modern image. In addition, full media coverage has been arranged, and meetings with the Kuwait Football Association confirmed all plans.

The Cabinet also focused on food trucks across the country. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry shared results from a site inspection with Public Works and Municipality authorities. The plan is to organize new 5,000-square-meter areas for food trucks. Officials said monitoring, enforcement, and smart licensing will create a fair business environment. Over 1,100 inactive or non-compliant licenses were canceled. Five new sites will open in January to make oversight easier and improve distribution.

Furthermore, the Cabinet reviewed Kuwait’s participation in the 56th World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23. Ministers will attend workshops and sessions that aim to strengthen international cooperation and discuss global economic, political, social, financial, and climate issues. These efforts show Kuwait’s commitment to national development initiatives and active global engagement.

Officials noted that combining sports events, business regulation, and international participation strengthens national development initiatives. The Cabinet also emphasized aligning all projects with Kuwait’s vision for sustainable growth, public participation, and international recognition.

By focusing on these areas, Kuwait aims to build a modern, forward-looking nation that benefits all residents. Overall, the meeting reinforced the importance of applying national development initiatives across government work and community projects.
