Kuwait’s Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan, visited injured Kuwaiti Navy personnel receiving treatment after they were wounded during the recent Iranian attack on the country.
During the visit, Al-Shuraiaan met with the injured service members and received an update from medical teams on their conditions, according to a statement from the General Staff.
He praised the efforts of doctors and healthcare workers caring for the wounded and expressed his wishes for their speedy recovery.
The injured personnel were aboard a Kuwaiti Navy vessel that was struck during the large-scale aerial attack targeting Kuwait.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense said the country’s air defense forces intercepted a ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 armed drones launched toward Kuwait.
Although most of the incoming threats were successfully destroyed, falling debris caused limited damage to several civilian and vital facilities, according to Defense Ministry spokesperson Colonel Saud Al-Atwan.
Authorities have not announced any further details regarding the condition of the injured personnel or the extent of the damage caused by the attack.
