Five people have died following a house fire in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area of Kuwait, according to the Kuwait Fire Force, which confirmed that firefighters brought the blaze under control before handing the site over to relevant authorities for investigation.
Emergency teams from Al-Sumoud and Ardiya fire stations responded to the incident, but the victims were pronounced dead following the fire, the statement said. The cause of the blaze has not yet been disclosed, and an official investigation is ongoing.

He also warned against overloading electrical sockets and using poor-quality extension cords, noting that such practices can lead to short circuits and fires. He added that awareness within families remains a key factor in preventing similar tragedies.
Authorities further encouraged households to install smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, regularly check electrical appliances, and ensure devices are switched off when not in use. Residents were also reminded to contact emergency services immediately in case of fire incidents.
