Esterad Bank Appoints Fajr Al-Bachaji as Chief Operating Officer

In a major Esterad Bank leadership update, the bank has welcomed Fajr Al-Bachaji as its new Chief Operating Officer. This announcement marks a significant step in the bank’s ongoing transformation strategy and leadership expansion.

Al-Bachaji joins Esterad Bank at a crucial moment. The institution continues to enhance its operations and corporate structure. With more than 16 years of executive experience, she brings strong expertise in strategy, investment, and operations. Her leadership record includes achievements in business development and financial management across multiple sectors.

As Chief Operating Officer, she will lead several vital departments. These include legal, strategy, IT, operations, administration, and corporate communications. She will also handle investor relations and fund management. Her responsibilities will involve improving efficiency, boosting internal controls, and supporting client growth strategies.

Notably, this Esterad Bank leadership update follows a strong 2024 performance. Last year, the bank returned to profitability and implemented cost-reduction initiatives. Additionally, it exited legacy assets and launched new investment strategies. With this momentum, the bank aims to maintain long-term growth and strengthen stakeholder value.

Before joining Esterad Bank, Al-Bachaji served as General Manager at Al Amal Projects Holding. There, she managed strategy and investment operations for the Hope Fund’s investment arm. Earlier, she worked as Senior Director for Innovation and Technology at Bahrain’s Economic Development Board. Her role focused on attracting foreign investment in the tech sector.

She also held leadership roles at Instrata Capital, Maalem Holding, and Addax Bank. These positions included responsibilities in marketing, investment, and strategic planning. Each role shaped her broad understanding of regional and international financial markets.

In a statement, Acting CEO Ahmed Abdulrahman expressed strong confidence in Al-Bachaji. He emphasized her ability to drive transformation, build efficient systems, and expand investment platforms.

Al-Bachaji also shared her enthusiasm for joining the bank. She looks forward to improving operations and ensuring sustainable results for clients and investors.

This Esterad Bank leadership update highlights the bank’s clear focus on growth, governance, and operational excellence.
