The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) recently held a coordination meeting with the Ministry of Defense (MoD) to explore opportunities for joint cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Maha Zaid Al-Qaqqaa Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs. Brigadier General Talib Anter Al-Marri and Captain Salem Mohammed Muhmeid from the Ministry of Defense participated in the discussions. Also attending were Jassim Al-Hardan, Commissioner General of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association. Senior officials from the Educational Affairs Sector were also present. This collaborative effort strengthens the foundation of education and defense collaboration.
During the meeting, the two ministries discussed the integration of selected Ministry of Defense personnel as co-leaders in scouting programs within preparatory and secondary boys’ schools. This initiative aims to encourage the development of leadership skills, personal responsibility, and a deeper sense of active citizenship in students. It creates a positive and engaging educational environment. By doing so, the program is designed to help shape future generations who can contribute meaningfully to society.
