Dubai Shortlists Finalists for Hamdan Bin Mohammed Government Services Awards

Dubai: The Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services has announced the finalists for its prestigious awards: Hamdan Flag, Best Pioneering Initiative, and Best Digital City Experience. These awards highlight outstanding achievements in customer service, efficiency, and digital transformation in alignment with Dubai’s 360 Services policy. The goal is to reinforce Dubai’s leadership in innovative government services and seamless customer experiences.

Hamdan Flag Finalists

Nine Dubai government entities are shortlisted for the Hamdan Flag. This award recognizes efforts in enhancing, personalizing, and digitalizing public services under the 360 Services policy. The finalists are:

  1. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority
  2. Community Development Authority
  3. General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai
  4. Dubai Municipality
  5. Dubai Police
  6. Roads and Transport Authority
  7. Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism
  8. Dubai Customs
  9. Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment

These entities were selected from 27 contenders and are leading the way in improving government efficiency and service integration.

Eman Al Suwaidi, Director of the Assessment and Studies Department at The Executive Council of Dubai, emphasized that Dubai’s continuous improvement is driving government service advancements. She added that the program, guided by the vision of Dubai’s leadership, enhances innovation, promotes world-class public services, and fosters healthy competition among the entities.

Pioneering Initiative Finalists

Eight groundbreaking initiatives have been shortlisted for the Best Pioneering Initiative award. These initiatives demonstrate excellence in digital transformation and service enhancement:

  1. Montaji Plus by Dubai Municipality – AI-driven product safety
  2. Smart Travel by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai – Improving passenger experiences
  3. Driver’s Licensing by the Roads and Transport Authority – Accelerating digital licensing
  4. Digitalised ATA Carnet by Dubai Chambers – Streamlining trade documentation
  5. Cross-Border E-Commerce by Dubai Customs – Automating customs clearance
  6. Smart Housing by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment – Smart housing solutions
  7. Dubai Empowerment by the Community Development Authority – Supporting individuals through services
  8. Ease of Doing Business by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism – Simplifying investment processes

These initiatives reflect Dubai’s commitment to digital innovation and improving public services.

Digital City Experience Finalists

Four initiatives were shortlisted for the Best Digital City Experience award, focusing on transformative digital solutions:

  1. Land Grants and Exchange – A platform for digital land allocation and exchange
  2. EV Green Charger – Enhancing the electric vehicle user experience
  3. Driving a Vehicle: Transfer or Renewal of Ownership – Streamlining vehicle registration
  4. Digitalisation of Death-Related Procedures – Integrating burial and post-burial services

These projects exemplify Dubai’s drive to build a seamless, integrated digital city experience.

The Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Government Services aligns with Dubai’s 360 Services policy, which aims to automate 100% of public services, integrate 90% of services, and eliminate in-person visits for 90% of services. Each submission was rigorously assessed based on impact, innovation, and sustainability.
