Drug control operations in Kuwait led to the arrest of 16 individuals during recent security campaigns. Authorities targeted separate locations, seizing significant quantities of narcotics and tools used for their preparation and distribution. The Ministry of Interior highlighted that these operations aim to safeguard society and curb illegal drug activity.
The General Department for Drug Control reported the seizures included 880 grams of methamphetamine, 745 grams of hashish, 151 grams of synthetic cannabinoids, and three grams of heroin. Officials also confiscated 5,000 Captagon tablets, three pieces of hashish, and 40 milliliters of synthetic cannabinoid oil. Authorities also recovered numerous tools used to weigh and package narcotics.
Authorities stressed that all suspects face legal proceedings and have been referred to competent authorities for further action. Officials confirmed that intensive campaigns will continue across all regions, as part of Kuwait’s zero-tolerance policy toward drug trafficking and abuse.
In addition, the Ministry urged the public to support drug control efforts by reporting any suspicious activities to law enforcement. Collaboration between residents and security forces remains critical to protecting communities from drug-related dangers.
The Criminal Security Sector emphasized that these measures target both users and dealers. They noted that consistent monitoring and timely action are key to preventing illegal substances from spreading in society. Furthermore, authorities reminded citizens that collective vigilance is vital for preserving public safety and security.
Officials indicated that ongoing campaigns also focus on educating the public about the risks of narcotics. Awareness programs, combined with strict enforcement, form a comprehensive approach to minimize harm. As part of these operations, security forces will continue random inspections, surveillance, and coordinated raids across multiple regions.
Looking ahead, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening drug control nationwide. By combining strict law enforcement, public cooperation, and continuous monitoring, Kuwait aims to reduce drug-related threats and maintain social safety. Authorities warned that anyone attempting to undermine these efforts will face swift legal action.
