Bahrain’s Shura Council Highlights National Foundations in Response to Royal Speech

Bahrain’s Shura Council highlighted Bahrain’s national development after the King delivered his Royal Speech. The address marked the start of the fourth session of the sixth legislative term.

The speech outlined key principles to ensure continuity, progress, and growth across the Kingdom. It encouraged council members to participate actively and responsibly in national initiatives. The council praised the speech for providing a clear roadmap to strengthen Bahrain’s national development.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to supporting cooperation with the government. Integration between legislative and executive branches remains crucial to achieving Bahrain’s national development. Leadership recognized members’ contributions to advancing national priorities.

During a Sunday meeting, the Speaker of the Shura Council chaired discussions with the First and Second Deputy Speakers and the Secretary-General. The council congratulated the newly appointed deputies for earning members’ confidence. Their leadership will help guide the council toward effective action supporting Bahrain’s national development.

Members discussed forming a committee to respond to the Royal Speech. The committee will coordinate initiatives and proposals in line with national priorities. The council also reviewed members’ requests to join permanent specialized committees and the Executive Committee. These steps aim to improve participation and oversight.

The council stressed collaboration, leadership, and efficiency as key tools to turn the King’s directives into real outcomes. Members emphasized accountability, transparency, and coordinated effort to support progress.

The session highlighted the council’s role in promoting civic engagement and ensuring initiatives align with national priorities. Coordinated efforts will strengthen Bahrain’s development, improve legislative results, and contribute to long-term prosperity.
