Bahrain Sports Day: A Celebration of Teamwork and Public Health

Bahrain Sports Day has become a prominent national event, designed to foster the values of teamwork and public health across the Kingdom. Eng. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sisi Al-Buainain, the Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, emphasized that the day serves as a celebration of Bahrain’s commitment to promoting a positive and healthy lifestyle while encouraging collective effort under the spirit of “Team Bahrain.”

Al-Buainain expressed gratitude for the royal support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose patronage has played a key role in advancing Bahrain’s sports sector. He also praised the continuous involvement of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in ensuring the development and success of Bahrain’s sports initiatives. Bahrain’s participation in various regional and international competitions continues to thrive, with the Kingdom regularly achieving success in numerous events.

Acknowledging the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Al-Buainain highlighted his efforts in championing youth and sports in Bahrain. He also recognized His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, for his work in supporting sports across the Kingdom. Together, their leadership has significantly contributed to Bahrain’s success in sports and youth development.

Al-Buainain noted that Bahrain Sports Day has become more than just a one-day event; it has grown into a vital cultural and social practice within the Kingdom. The General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives, with the support of Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al-Majlis, Speaker of the Council, continues to prioritize sports as part of a healthy, positive, and professional environment. This commitment helps drive collective success and teamwork across all sectors.

The event’s success is a direct result of the collaborative efforts of the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Sports for All Federation. The active participation of institutions, organizations, and citizens in Sports Day reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to the broad concept of sports and wellness for all.
