Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce has closed a commercial establishment after inspectors uncovered multiple violations related to consumer protection and market regulations.
The Inspection Department found that the establishment was selling expired products that could pose risks to consumer safety. Inspectors also identified issues including unclear price displays, different prices being charged for the same products, and unjustified increases in the prices of certain goods.
The ministry said the closure was part of its ongoing inspection campaigns aimed at ensuring businesses comply with regulations and maintaining market stability across Bahrain.
It confirmed that inspection visits will continue across all governorates, with authorities taking strict legal action against businesses that violate consumer protection laws.
The ministry also encouraged consumers to help monitor markets by reporting any violations through official channels, including its inspection email, WhatsApp service, and the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
The measures reflect Bahrain’s continued efforts to protect consumer rights, improve market transparency, and ensure fair trading practices.
