Bahrain Marina Project Set to Transform Tourism in the Kingdom

The Bahrain Marina Project is rapidly shaping up as a major turning point for the Kingdom’s tourism industry. Located on Manama’s eastern waterfront, this ambitious development aims to elevate Bahrain’s tourism infrastructure and diversify its economy.

On July 29, 2025, the Tourism Minister toured the project site and received updates on its progress. The Bahrain Marina Project forms a key part of Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy 2022–2026. It is designed to attract both tourists and investors while supporting long-term national goals.

The 250,000-square-meter development offers much more than a marina. It includes luxury residences, a shopping mall, a yacht club, hotels, and green spaces. All these features aim to create a vibrant and self-contained tourism destination.

Moreover, the site will provide new lifestyle experiences. The waterfront project offers upscale living, entertainment, and retail options all in one location. Its central position in Manama gives visitors easy access to the city’s main attractions.

The Bahrain Marina Project is expected to contribute significantly to tourism income. It aligns with Bahrain’s strategy to reduce reliance on oil and build strong non-oil sectors. At the same time, the project seeks to protect Bahrain’s coastal identity and promote environmental sustainability.

Visitors will enjoy a wide array of amenities. Luxury apartments cater to residents and investors, while tourists can explore the shopping center or relax in premium hotel rooms. Families and nature lovers can also benefit from parks and open green areas.

Officials believe the project will help create jobs and attract international partnerships. Investors from the UAE and Saudi Arabia have shown interest, reinforcing its regional importance. The design blends modern architecture with world-class facilities to match global tourism standards.

Additionally, the developers are working to meet environmental and sustainability goals. These elements ensure the project contributes to Bahrain’s long-term tourism vision while respecting ecological priorities.

With a mix of elegance, innovation, and strategic planning, Bahrain is positioning itself as a premier tourist destination. The Bahrain Marina Project stands as a bold example of how tourism, investment, and sustainability can work together to shape the Kingdom’s future.
