Bahrain Launches Innovative “Mosques” App to Modernize Mosque Management

The Jaafari Endowments Directorate in Bahrain has launched the “Mosques” mobile application, marking a major step in modernizing mosque management and administration. The app aims to streamline operations, improve supervision, and support mosque administrators and religious officials. By introducing this digital tool, the Directorate ensures better service delivery and communication across all mosques.

The “Mosques” mobile application offers several key features. It helps monitor mosque attendance and ensures mosques open consistently at prayer times. Administrators can submit requests for maintenance, carpets, and other supplies through the app. It also allows for requests related to cleaning and sanitizing, helping mosques maintain a healthy environment. Moreover, the application facilitates the issuance of circulars and notifications, keeping mosque staff informed and aligned with ongoing initiatives.

During a recent council meeting, Maher Alawi Mahfouz presented an overview of the application’s objectives and capabilities. He highlighted how the app aligns with the Directorate’s development plans and ensures smooth mosque operations. Alawi Mahfouz also announced plans to provide comprehensive training programs, familiarizing administrators with the app and its full functionality.

The council praised the team behind the project for their dedication and high-quality implementation. Their efforts reflect the Directorate’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance mosque management. The app supports staff efficiency and contributes to a more organized and transparent administration system.

The chairman of the Jaafari Endowments Directorate emphasized that the “Mosques” mobile application represents part of a broader digital transformation strategy. The Directorate aims to improve services for mosques, caretakers, and religious staff, making processes faster and communication more effective. This initiative also benefits worshippers by providing better-managed mosque environments and enhancing their experience.

Furthermore, the application demonstrates Bahrain’s commitment to integrating technology into religious administration. It serves as a model for other institutions seeking to modernize their operations while maintaining service quality and accessibility. By adopting digital solutions, the Jaafari Endowments Directorate ensures that mosque management remains efficient, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the community.
