Bahrain Expands Digital Transformation to Strengthen Parliamentary Innovation

Bahrain continues to push forward with digital transformation to strengthen parliamentary innovation. Ms. Karima Mohammed Al-Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, emphasized the importance of expanding digital initiatives. According to her, these efforts align with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision for technological development.

Highlighting the role of artificial intelligence, Al-Abbasi explained that adopting advanced technologies improves efficiency and enhances global competitiveness. By integrating modern tools, Bahrain aims to lead in digital transformation and strengthen parliamentary innovation across the region.

During a meeting with Mr. Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Secretary-General of Qatar’s Shura Council, she discussed collaboration between Gulf legislative bodies. His visit focused on learning about Bahrain’s innovative digital initiatives. Moreover, they explored ways to strengthen parliamentary innovation through technology while sharing successful experiences.

In addition, Al-Abbasi conveyed greetings from Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Speaker of the Shura Council. She reaffirmed the council’s commitment to fostering Gulf cooperation. Notably, she stressed the importance of exchanging knowledge and adopting best practices. Strengthening parliamentary innovation remains a top priority for Bahrain’s legislative body.

Meanwhile, Al Mahmoud expressed gratitude for the warm welcome. Additionally, the delegation explored the electronic record system and its advantages. They later visited the Shura Council’s session hall to observe the latest technological enhancements.
