Bahrain Completes Restoration of Historic Mosques

Bahrain has finished restoring two important mosques as part of a larger improvement plan. The Omar bin Abdulaziz Mosque in Muharraq and the Al-Awadhi Mosque in Bilad Al-Qadeem are now fully renovated. This effort follows the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, confirmed the success of these projects. He highlighted Bahrain’s goal to upgrade places of worship and keep their cultural value. The mosque improvement plan includes 40 mosques across the kingdom.
