Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, DIMDEX 2026 will officially launch on January 19 and run until January 22, 2026. Organized and hosted by the Qatar Armed Forces, this major event will take place at the Qatar National Convention Centre.

This ninth edition of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference will be held under the theme: “A Global Hub for Defense Innovation: Invest in Possibilities to Shape a Secure Tomorrow.” The conference will bring together leaders from global defense sectors, including ministers, chiefs of staff, naval commanders, and defense company executives.

For the first time, DIMDEX 2026 will span four days, creating more opportunities for strategic dialogue, tech exhibitions, and business networking. As a result, participants will benefit from extended time to explore state-of-the-art defense technologies and engage in meaningful partnerships.

Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari, Chairman of the DIMDEX Organizing Committee, expressed pride in expanding the event. He noted that this year’s edition aims to elevate Qatar’s role as a key player in global defense innovation. Furthermore, the conference will emphasize sustainable security solutions that protect future generations.

Throughout DIMDEX 2026, attendees will explore cutting-edge maritime equipment and defense strategies. They will also gain insight into the evolving landscape of military technology. Moreover, the event is expected to draw investment into regional and global security sectors.

By hosting DIMDEX 2026, Qatar reinforces its commitment to international defense collaboration and innovation. The event remains a vital platform for fostering global partnerships and promoting peace and security.
