The State of Qatar has earned the top position in the Arab world and ranked eighth globally in the 2025 Quality of Life Index, according to the latest report published by CEOWORLD magazine.
With an impressive score of 96.66 points, Qatar has once again demonstrated its ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its citizens and residents. This achievement places Qatar ahead of global powers like the United States, which secured the ninth position.
Globally, the Principality of Monaco claimed the top spot with 98 points. It was followed by Liechtenstein in second place and Luxembourg in third. Ireland ranked fourth, Switzerland fifth, Norway sixth, and Singapore seventh. Meanwhile, Burundi landed at the bottom of the list, behind Madagascar, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Sierra Leone.
Regionally, the United Arab Emirates ranked second in the Arab world and 26th globally. Saudi Arabia followed, taking third place in the Arab world and 40th globally.
The 2025 Quality of Life Index evaluated the quality of life in 199 countries. The assessment was based on insights from more than 258,000 people worldwide. These respondents rated countries across ten key metrics, including economic stability, healthcare, education, job opportunities, political transparency, equality, public safety, and infrastructure.
This result further reinforces Qatar’s position as a leader in the Arab world when it comes to quality of life. The government’s continued investment in healthcare, education, and infrastructure has played a vital role. Additionally, national policies focused on sustainability, innovation, and social development have greatly influenced the country’s high score.
As the 2025 Quality of Life Index highlights, Qatar is not just a regional powerhouse but also a rising global model for human development. The nation’s high ranking reflects its vision of building a modern, inclusive, and high-quality living environment for all.
