Experience a Vibrant Japanese Pop-Up in Bahrain This May

A delightful Japanese pop-up in Bahrain is arriving soon, Chawan, the beloved Japanese tea house, is leading this unique event during Polytechnic Bahrain’s Marketing Day at Sitra Mall.

Opening on May 14 and 15, from 6 PM to 10 PM, the pop-up promises an exciting blend of culture, food, and fun. Entry is completely free, so bring your friends and dive into a little slice of Japan.

Their matcha selection is legendary, and spring brings new flavors such as sakuragari mocha, hanami latte, bara latte, or refreshing chrysanthemum tea which are amazing.

Of course, a Japanese pop-up in Bahrain wouldn’t be complete without engaging activities. One cultural highlight is the tanabata wish tradition. Write your dreams on tanzaku, colorful strips of paper, and hang them on bamboo branches. This charming practice comes from the Tanabata Festival and symbolizes hope and dreams.

In addition to heartfelt traditions, there are fun Japanese games and playful photo spots perfect for selfies. These interactive stations are also ideal for creating memories with friends or family.

Foodies will love the lineup of vendors at the event. Besides Chawan, expect delicious offerings from El Camino, Arte de Cafe, Wall Street Coffee, Kaak bsemsom, Petal and Bean, Mkshat, and Chai Talqema are great options.

Whether you are craving matcha or curious about Japanese traditions, this event has something for everyone. It’s not just about food and drinks; it’s also a celebration of culture and creativity.
