Egyptian President Concludes State Visit to Kuwait with High-Level Talks and Strengthened Ties

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his accompanying delegation concluded a state visit to Kuwait. They departed after a series of high-level meetings and discussions. The focus was on enhancing bilateral relations.

President El-Sisi was seen off by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, was also present. Additionally, Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah and other senior state officials attended the farewell.

During the visit, President El-Sisi and the Amir chaired official rounds of talks, attended by top-level officials from both nations. The discussions centered on strengthening cooperation, exploring new areas for partnership, and addressing key regional and international developments.

Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, stated that the talks underscored the strong historical ties between Egypt and Kuwait. Both sides discussed expanding collaboration in various sectors, Arab unity, and pressing regional issues. They particularly addressed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The leaders reaffirmed their shared support for the Palestinian cause. This includes the goal of establishing an independent state and advancing reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

The meeting was described as being held in a positive and constructive atmosphere. This highlighted the depth of relations between the two countries. Later, a luncheon was hosted by His Highness the Amir at Bayan Palace in honor of President El-Sisi and his delegation.

President El-Sisi also held separate meetings with Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace. Attending the meetings were the Head of the Honorary Delegation. Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, was also present.

To accommodate the president’s departure, the Ministry of Interior announced temporary road closures beginning at 2:00 p.m. These were for security purposes. Affected roads included major routes from King Fahad Road to the Sixth Ring Road, as confirmed by the General Department of Security Relations and Media.

President El-Sisi’s visit marks a continued effort to strengthen diplomatic, economic, and security cooperation between Egypt and Kuwait.
