The State of Qatar is preparing to inaugurate its national pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai in Japan, scheduled to run from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The official inauguration ceremony will take place next Tuesday in the “Empowering Lives” zone of the international exhibition.
Qatar’s pavilion promises a rich and multi-dimensional experience, capturing the nation’s transformation from its maritime heritage to a future rooted in innovation, sustainability, and human development. Through a series of interactive and immersive displays, the pavilion highlights the country’s achievements in key sectors, including education, the environment, and the knowledge-based economy.
The pavilion reflects Qatar’s commitment to fostering global dialogue and advancing international cooperation to build a more inclusive and sustainable world. With its artistic and forward-looking design, the pavilion integrates values of creativity, innovation, and humanity—offering visitors a journey that reflects Qatar’s aspirations for the future.
Covering an area of 1,846 square meters, the pavilion showcases Qatar’s efforts in building a diversified, sustainable economy anchored in knowledge and culture. It also symbolizes the blend of Qatari and Japanese influences, placing people and cultural exchange at the core of development.
Architecturally, the pavilion draws inspiration from the traditional Qatari sambuk boat floating on water, representing both the country’s historic maritime legacy and its dynamic future. The design emphasizes the connection between land and sea, portraying coastal life as a source of growth and innovation.
Qatar’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai underscores its dedication to global engagement and sharing its vision for a resilient and sustainable future.
