Saudi Arabia Rejects Forced Displacement of Palestinians

Saudi Arabia has firmly rejected any proposal involving the forced displacement of Palestinians, reaffirming its stance during a ministerial meeting in Turkey on Friday.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan made the statement at the Ministerial Committee for International Action to End the War on Gaza, held in the city of Antalya. He declared that Saudi Arabia completely opposes any plan that removes Palestinians from their land.

“The residents of Gaza are suffering. They are deprived of basic life necessities,” Prince Faisal said. He stressed that the Kingdom will not accept any scenario that forces Palestinians from Gaza, the West Bank, or East Jerusalem to leave their homes.

The Saudi minister criticized efforts to connect the entry of humanitarian aid with ceasefire agreements. He called on the international community to step up pressure for unimpeded aid delivery, saying the need is urgent and growing.

Prince Faisal also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for ceasefire negotiations. He praised Egypt and Qatar for their mediation efforts and said continued diplomatic work remains essential for achieving lasting peace.

Following the meeting, the committee issued a joint communiqué. It clearly denounced any form of forced displacement of Palestinians and expressed full support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The statement also encouraged the unification of Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem under the Palestinian Authority.

In addition, the communiqué demanded an immediate and permanent ceasefire in accordance with United Nations resolutions. It condemned Israeli actions in the occupied territories, including settlement expansion, home demolitions, and land confiscations.

Saudi Arabia’s message remains consistent: forced displacement of Palestinians is unacceptable. The Kingdom continues to call for international cooperation to end the war, deliver aid, and protect Palestinian rights.
