Ziad Al-Nakat, the World Bank’s Resident Representative in Kuwait, highlighted the country’s ongoing economic transformation, attributing it to the determination of its people and the positive direction of development. Speaking at a Ramadan gathering hosted by the World Bank at the St. Regis Hotel, Al-Nakat expressed optimism about Kuwait’s future, projecting a 2.5% economic growth rate for 2025.
He also revealed that the World Bank will release a detailed report on Kuwait’s economic performance in the coming weeks. Al-Nakat praised Kuwait’s economic transformation and its growing partnership with the World Bank, noting that the bank has been working closely with Kuwait since 1961.
Emphasizing the spirit of collaboration and the importance of fostering connections during Ramadan, he reiterated the significance of Kuwait’s longstanding relationship with the World Bank and the office’s role in strengthening ties between the two entities.
