Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) provided more than 223,000 electronic services to citizens during the first half of 2026, as the authority continues to expand its digital services.
PAHW Deputy Director General for Public Relations and Development Omar Al-Ruwaieh said the growing use of digital platforms has helped simplify procedures and improve the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries.
During the first six months of the year, PAHW received 10,571 citizens at its headquarters and external service centres. It also provided 519 services through video conferencing.
The authority completed 133,432 transactions through the government’s unified Sahel application and PAHW’s website, while chatbots handled another 78,931 services.
The number of users accessing PAHW’s electronic services reached 325,412 during the period. Meanwhile, housing-related services available through the Sahel application increased to 38.
The most frequently used services included obtaining a good-standing certificate, updating phone numbers, opening a housing file with a rental allowance, requesting a certificate showing monthly instalments and applying for an electricity connection.
PAHW has also introduced additional digital services, including mortgage cancellation, debt and claim settlement, and electronic payment of instalments, fees and subscriptions for companies and engineering-sector services.
Other new services include requests to suspend debt collection and rental allowance services through employers.
Al-Ruwaieh said the expansion forms part of PAHW’s wider plan to simplify procedures and make government services more accessible.
He added that the authority will continue developing its digital platforms and communication channels to speed up transactions and improve the experience for beneficiaries, supporting Kuwait’s broader drive toward digital government.
