A Chinese official emphasized his country’s commitment to strengthening ties with Kuwait across various sectors during a meeting on Saturday. Xin Jin, Assistant Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, met with Kuwaiti Ambassador to China, Jasem Al-Najem, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation.
The Chinese official highlighted China’s interest in advancing practical collaboration with Kuwait within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. He expressed China’s desire to deepen its strategic partnership with Kuwait to ensure long-term stable development for both nations.
In response, Ambassador Al-Najem congratulated Xin Jin on his new role and reaffirmed Kuwait’s dedication to fostering its strong historical ties with China. He noted that Kuwait values its growing cooperation with China in various sectors, which has been bolstered by recent high-level visits between officials from both countries.
Al-Najem also discussed the promising potential of joint mega-projects between Kuwait and China, emphasizing their role in furthering the common interests of both nations.
The Kuwaiti ambassador also addressed Beijing’s consistent stance on the Palestinian issue, noting China’s firm opposition to actions that violate international law and its continued support for a two-state solution as a pathway to lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
