Dubai’s Metro and Tram Inspections Go Digital with Advanced Platform

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with Keolis MHI, has introduced a cutting-edge digital platform to enhance inspections and passenger compliance across the Dubai Metro and Tram. The new system improves efficiency, boosts real-time monitoring, and ensures smoother public transport operations.

A New Era for Public Transport Inspections

This platform has led to a 14% increase in monthly inspection rates, allowing authorities to detect rule violations more effectively. The system ensures better adherence to transport rules, such as preventing Silver nol cardholders from using the Gold Class cabin and ensuring designated spaces for women are used correctly.

With real-time tracking, the system identifies areas that require more monitoring. It also helps deploy fare inspectors efficiently, making sure they focus on locations with higher violation risks.

Real-Time Monitoring and Faster Response

The platform enables authorities to track inspectors’ performance and ticket inspections in real-time. It can issue live updates, generate analytical reports, and predict high-risk areas based on multi-source data analysis.

During major events, inspection teams are deployed at stations with high passenger traffic. This data-driven approachallows for a faster response to violations, improving passenger experience and safety.

Smart Tracking for a Sustainable Future

The system records passenger data to identify repeat offenders and educate them about transport regulations. This contributes to a culture of compliance and ensures a smoother travel experience for all commuters.

Additionally, the platform supports urban sustainability efforts by reducing resource consumption and promoting eco-friendly practices. A specialised monitoring centre has been established to oversee inspections, track violations, and ensure swift action against rule-breakers.

With real-time tracking and data-driven deployment, the system is transforming how Dubai ensures passenger safety and rule compliance across its metro and tram network.
