EAA Launches ‘Eid Gifts’ Campaign to Support Gaza and Syria During Ramadan

Doha, Qatar: For the second consecutive year, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Education Above All Foundation (EAA), has spearheaded the ‘Eid Gifts’ campaign—a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting children and families in Gaza and Syria.

Launched in collaboration with the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), the campaign focuses on collecting brand-new clothes and school bags for those in need during the holy month of Ramadan.

Collection Points and Campaign Details

Running from March 5 to March 20, the initiative has set up donation points at strategic locations across Qatar, including:

  • Education City (Minaretein Center, Al-Mujadilah Center & Mosque)
  • Hyatt Plaza, Al Khor Mall, Place Vendôme Mall
  • Three Mayoral stores
  • Nine LuLu Hypermarkets

In addition, participating retail stores will facilitate donations at the cashier and offer significant discounts on clothing to encourage contributions.

A Community Effort Rooted in Generosity

Encouraging the community to take part, Mohamed Al Kubaisi, Acting CEO of EAA Foundation, emphasized the importance of collective action:

“As we enter the second year of the ‘Eid Gifts’ campaign, our dedication to supporting children in Gaza and Syria remains unwavering. This initiative is a testament to the spirit of generosity that Ramadan inspires, and with strong support from our partners, we hope to bring joy and dignity to these children’s lives.”

QRCS Reaffirms Commitment to Humanitarian Relief

QRCS Secretary-General Faisal Al-Emadi praised the initiative and reaffirmed Qatar’s dedication to supporting vulnerable communities:

“Our cooperation with EAA Foundation builds on past successes, as part of Qatar’s outreach to those in need. With ongoing relief efforts in Gaza and Syria, we are confident that the benevolent people of Qatar will support this campaign, ensuring a brighter future for children.”

This initiative not only addresses immediate humanitarian needs but also fosters a culture of compassion and community engagement, aligning with the core values of Ramadan—generosity, empathy, and solidarity.
