Bahrain Envoy Meets Pacific Nations’ Ambassadors In UAE

Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, met ambassadors from several Pacific Island nations at the Bahraini Embassy in Abu Dhabi on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

The meeting brought together ambassadors representing Tonga, Fiji, Tuvalu and Timor-Leste, all of whom are based in the UAE.

Sheikh Khalid welcomed the diplomats and praised the growing ties between Bahrain and Pacific Island countries, highlighting the importance of expanding cooperation and strengthening long-standing friendships.

The ambassadors expressed their appreciation for the reception and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening relations with Bahrain across a range of sectors in support of shared interests.

Discussions also covered regional developments, including maritime security and efforts to maintain stability in the Gulf, as well as broader international issues affecting global trade, energy and food security.

During the meeting, the Pacific Island ambassadors presented a diplomatic note reaffirming their governments’ support for Bahrain and their commitment to strengthening cooperation through the United Nations and other international forums.

Sheikh Khalid thanked the ambassadors for their support and stressed Bahrain’s commitment to expanding cooperation and coordination with Pacific nations in ways that serve mutual interests.
