Bahrain Inaugurates New Mosque as Part of Religious Development Plan

Bahrain has recently inaugurated the Mohammed bin Mohammed Ahmadi Mosque in East Hidd City. This mosque is part of a broader initiative to renovate and build 40 mosques across the Kingdom. The project follows the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which further emphasizes the government’s commitment to religious infrastructure.

The Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Ftais Al Hajri, led the inauguration. During the event, he highlighted the importance of places of worship in Bahrain’s society. In particular, he noted that these mosques significantly contribute to promoting religious values, good citizenship, and noble morals.

Furthermore, Sheikh Dr. Al Hajri explained that places of worship in Bahrain receive substantial attention, thanks to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The government has focused on enhancing these places based on regional needs. As a result, citizens across the Kingdom can now perform religious rituals comfortably, regardless of their location.

In his address, Sheikh Al Hajri also praised the role of mosques in Bahraini society. He pointed out that people in Bahrain have always taken pride in building mosques. These mosques serve as centers of moderation, balance, and love, further contributing to the unity of the community. Additionally, they are crucial for both spiritual devotion and social connection.

Moreover, the Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council expressed his gratitude to the generous donor who supported the mosque’s construction. He emphasized that building and maintaining mosques is a way to show the highest devotion to God. Indeed, this mosque serves as a place for worship, but also as a powerful symbol of community spirit.

In conclusion, this project to build and develop mosques reflects Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to enhancing religious infrastructure. It aligns with the Kingdom’s efforts to preserve its religious heritage while ensuring accessibility for all citizens. Therefore, the inauguration of the Mohammed bin Mohammed Ahmadi Mosque marks a significant step in this mission.
