Dubai – As Muslims gather for daily prayers during Ramadan, the newly inaugurated Sheikh Rashid Mosque in Dubai Marina stands ready to welcome worshippers. The mosque, with a capacity of 1,647 people, was officially announced by the emirate’s media office.

Inspired by Ottoman art, the Sheikh Rashid Mosque blends tradition with modernity. Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department highlighted its intricate design and state-of-the-art facilities. Covering 5,021.31 square meters, the mosque ensures worshippers have a peaceful and comfortable experience.

The mosque features a spacious courtyard, ablution areas, and dedicated prayer halls. It also includes ample parking for worshippers. Every detail was carefully planned to meet the highest architectural and service standards.

To promote inclusivity, the Sheikh Rashid Mosque has designated spaces for people of determination. This ensures accessibility for all members of the community. The prayer areas accommodate 1,397 men and 250 women, providing a welcoming environment for all.

During the inauguration ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized the mosque’s importance. Officials described it as “a model for contemporary mosques,” built to meet the needs of Dubai’s growing population.

The opening of this mosque marks a significant milestone in Dubai’s urban development. Authorities continue to invest in religious infrastructure, ensuring high-quality services for both residents and visitors.

With Ramadan bringing large crowds to places of worship, the Sheikh Rashid Mosque is set to become a key spiritual hub. Its elegant design and advanced facilities reflect Dubai’s commitment to preserving Islamic heritage while embracing modern advancements.
