This tournament, scheduled from March 5 to 18, 2025, will take place at the Bahrain International Endurance Village. According to Mr. Alaa Madara, President of the Bahrain Basketball Association, this initiative aligns with Sheikh Nasser’s vision to promote sports and physical activity in Bahrain.

The Knights Sports Tournament will offer Bahraini youth the chance to compete in nine different sports. These include beach soccer, beach volleyball, running, tug of war, duathlon, paddle, beach teqball, strength and challenge, and cycling. This diverse range of sports aims to provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and talents in a supportive and competitive environment.

Mr. Madara emphasized that holding the tournament during Ramadan is particularly meaningful. It highlights the deep connection between sportsmanship, community values, and moral growth. The event also reflects Bahrain’s commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship and encouraging physical activity across all age groups.

Furthermore, Sheikh Nasser’s support for this initiative is a testament to his dedication to developing youth sports. His leadership has been crucial in creating an inspiring environment where young athletes can discover and develop their potential. Mr. Madara also acknowledged the efforts of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in implementing such initiatives to further elevate Bahrain’s sports scene.

The Bahrain Basketball Association fully supports the Knights Sports Tournament and wishes all participants success. Mr. Madara stressed that this event is more than just a competition. It fosters teamwork, unity, and cooperation among participants, while promoting healthy lifestyles in Bahrain. This tournament is a great opportunity to cultivate positive sports values and strengthen the community’s spirit. Ultimately, it will leave a lasting impact on the country’s sports culture.
