Bahrain Dissolves Music Bands Association

Bahrain’s Authority for Culture and Antiquities has ordered the dissolution of the Bahrain Music Bands Association and appointed a legal liquidator to oversee the closure of its operations, according to a decision published in the Official Gazette.

Under Decision No. 2 of 2026, the association, registered under number C-44, has been dissolved in accordance with Bahrain’s laws governing associations and cultural organizations. Legal adviser Yasser Mohammed Ahmed Khair has been appointed to manage the association’s financial and legal affairs during the liquidation process.

The decision states that any remaining assets will be distributed in line with the relevant legislation and the association’s bylaws. The liquidation process is expected to be completed within 45 days from the date the decision takes effect.

The authority also barred the association’s members, administrators and employees from continuing its activities or disposing of its assets after the decision became effective. All records and official documents must be handed over to the appointed liquidator.

Banks holding the association’s funds and any parties owing it money have also been instructed not to transfer or dispose of its assets without written authorization from the liquidator.

Individuals or organizations with financial or legal claims against the association have 15 days from the effective date of the decision to submit supporting documents to the liquidator at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. A final report will be submitted to the authority once the liquidation process is completed.
