Kuwait’s Interior Ministry has reviewed security and organizational preparations at Husseiniyas across the country as authorities intensify measures ahead of Muharram gatherings.
Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib conducted an inspection tour of several Husseiniyas under directives from First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, according to a ministry statement.
During the visits, Al-Wuhaib assessed the deployment of security personnel and examined plans for crowd management and visitor organization. The inspections form part of broader efforts to maintain public safety and ensure the smooth conduct of religious events during the holy month.
The undersecretary praised the readiness of security forces and highlighted the coordination between agencies involved in securing the venues. He said the measures were designed to provide a safe environment for worshippers and visitors attending Muharram commemorations.
Al-Wuhaib also called on Husseiniya officials and organizers to cooperate with security personnel and facilitate their work. He stressed that security forces are present to protect lives and property and encouraged organizers to contact authorities whenever support is required.
The ministry said it will continue its field operations and maintain an enhanced security presence throughout Muharram to support the safe and orderly conduct of events across Kuwait.
