Kuwait has conferred military ranks on a new group of female officers, marking the first batch of university graduates to officially join the armed forces following an Amiri decree.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Defence, who said the integration of women into the military represents a significant development within the country’s defence structure.
He extended congratulations to the newly commissioned officers, stressing that their appointment carries a national responsibility entrusted through the decree issued by the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The minister urged the officers to maintain discipline and professionalism while continuing to develop their academic and practical skills in service of the country’s security and stability.
Officials said the move reflects ongoing efforts to expand participation within the military institution and strengthen its operational capacity through qualified national talent.
