US Launches $200,000 Qatar Partnership Funding Drive

The US Embassy in Doha has announced a $200,000 funding programme aimed at strengthening cooperation between the United States and Qatar in the fields of technology, economic development and security.

The initiative, launched under the US–Qatar Strategic Partnership framework, will provide grants ranging from around $10,000 to $100,000 for selected projects designed to enhance bilateral cooperation in strategic sectors.

Officials said the programme seeks to support initiatives in areas such as energy, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and critical infrastructure, with an emphasis on promoting collaboration between institutions in both countries.

Projects are expected to begin in mid-September and run for a period of six to 18 months. Traditional cultural programming is not included in the scope of funding.

The funding call also encourages proposals that highlight innovation and academic exchange, while underscoring the role of US–Qatar cooperation in supporting stability, development and security objectives.

Applicants are required to define target audiences clearly, with priority given to government officials, private sector leaders, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs and security professionals.

Eligible applicants include non-profit organisations, educational institutions, think tanks and government entities operating in Qatar. For-profit organisations are not eligible to apply.

The deadline for submissions is July 16 at 5pm Doha time. A virtual information session will be held on June 17 to answer questions from potential applicants.

Further details, including application requirements and forms, are available through official US government grant platforms and embassy channels.
