Bahrain On Alert After Iranian Missile Strike Claims

Bahrain has emerged as a central focus in the latest escalation between Iran and the United States, after reports said Iranian forces launched missile attacks targeting US-linked military installations in the Gulf kingdom.

According to regional reports, air raid sirens were activated in Bahrain after the strikes were announced, with claims that a US base hosting the headquarters of the Fifth Fleet had been targeted.

Bahraini authorities have not confirmed damage or casualties, and official assessments of the incident remain ongoing. The situation comes amid a broader wave of attacks and counterstrikes between Iran and US forces across the region.

The escalation follows earlier US military operations against Iranian air defence and surveillance sites near the Strait of Hormuz, which Washington described as a response to recent aircraft losses.

Jordan was also reported to have been targeted in the same wave of strikes, though its military said several incoming missiles were intercepted before reaching their objectives.

The developments mark one of the most serious confrontations in recent months between Tehran and Washington, raising concerns over the security of key Gulf states and strategic maritime routes.
