The Executive Director of the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities has said the institution’s work reflects Qatar’s broader national approach to supporting and empowering people with disabilities, in line with the country’s long-term development vision.
Fatima Saeed Al Saadi said the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the centre’s 2026 graduation ceremony highlights Qatar’s commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.
She described the event as a milestone that reflects the country’s focus on integrating graduates into society and supporting their transition towards independent and professional life.
Al Saadi said the centre’s programmes are aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030 and relevant legislation, aimed at strengthening inclusion, independence and participation in public life.
She added that the Shafallah Center provides a range of educational, rehabilitation and vocational training programmes designed to enhance skills and prepare participants for the labour market.
According to her, the centre works with public and private sector partners to expand employment opportunities, with several graduates already securing jobs across different industries.
Established in 1999 under Qatar Foundation for Social Work, the centre continues to offer academic, vocational, and social development services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, while promoting awareness of their rights and role in society.
