Bahrain’s Urban Planning Authority Promotes Healthy Living on Sports Day

Bahrain’s Urban Planning and Development Authority celebrated Sports Day with an exciting array of activities aimed at encouraging physical fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Employees gathered at the Youth Sports Club in Jidhafs for a day full of energy and enjoyment.

Eng. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khayat, the CEO of the Authority, emphasized the importance of sports for overall well-being. He pointed out that Sports Day reflects Bahrain’s commitment to promoting health and fitness. Al-Khayat also praised His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for prioritizing sports on a national level.

The CEO further acknowledged the role of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in shaping Bahrain’s athletic culture. He highlighted the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in developing national sports programs and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his ongoing support of Bahraini athletes.

The Urban Planning and Development Authority plays an active role in advancing the sports sector in Bahrain. By collaborating with government agencies, the Authority helps allocate land for sports clubs, youth centers, and strives to enhance green spaces across the Kingdom. These initiatives align with Bahrain’s broader vision for a healthier society.
