Saudi Arabia Confirms Eid Al-Adha 2026 Dates

Saudi Arabia has officially confirmed the dates for Eid Al-Adha 2026 following an announcement by the Supreme Court, setting the timeline for the annual Hajj season and the associated religious observance.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Monday, 18 May 2026 will mark the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah. Arafah Day, the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage, will fall on Tuesday, 26 May, while Eid Al-Adha will begin the following day on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

The Eid Al-Adha 2026 dates in Saudi Arabia come as millions of pilgrims prepare to gather in Makkah for Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam and a central event in the Islamic calendar.

The holiday commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to God, a story that is marked annually through communal prayers, family gatherings, and the ritual sacrifice of livestock, with meat distributed to relatives and those in need.

Saudi authorities are continuing preparations for the Hajj season, with logistical and operational plans aimed at managing large crowds and ensuring the smooth movement of pilgrims from around the world.
