Kuwait Foils Major Hezbollah-Linked Terror Plot, Arrests Six Suspects

Kuwait has foiled a major terrorist plot linked to the banned Hezbollah, authorities confirmed. The Kuwait terror plot foil underscores the country’s ongoing commitment to national security.

Security forces conducted a precise operation after intensive surveillance. They apprehended six suspects, including five Kuwaiti citizens and one stateless individual whose citizenship had been revoked. Investigators identified 14 additional fugitives abroad, including Kuwaitis, stateless persons, and Iranian and Lebanese nationals.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the suspects confessed to charges of espionage and membership in a prohibited terrorist group. They admitted planning assassinations targeting state symbols and high-ranking officials. Authorities described these actions as “high treason” and a direct assault on national stability.

Investigations revealed that the suspects had received advanced military training abroad. Hezbollah operatives reportedly taught them to use explosives, sophisticated weapons, surveillance techniques, and methods for carrying out targeted killings.

The Ministry emphasized that the security and sovereignty of Kuwait are non-negotiable. Officials warned that any threats against the nation’s leadership or institutions would face the full force of the law.

The apprehended individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution. Meanwhile, security agencies continue to track fugitives and investigate potential collaborators. Authorities stressed that vigilance remains essential to prevent similar threats in the future.

The operation demonstrates Kuwait’s firm stance against terrorism and organized networks seeking to undermine national interests. The Kuwait terror plot foil highlights the effectiveness of intelligence coordination and law enforcement efforts.
