Qatar Condemns Drone Attack on Oman’s Port of Salalah

Qatar strongly condemned the drone attack on the Port of Salalah in Oman, describing it as a blatant hostile act. The assault damaged several fuel tanks and disrupted port operations. Consequently, Qatar emphasized that such actions violate international law and undermine regional stability. Qatar highlighted that Oman has long worked to de-escalate tensions and mediate conflicts in the region, making this attack particularly unacceptable.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the assault constitutes an abuse of neighborly rights and a dangerous escalation. Furthermore, the ministry noted that it threatens the efforts of mediators seeking to maintain peace and security across the Gulf. In addition, Qatar expressed concern that such attacks could destabilize international cooperation initiatives and economic activities in the region.

Qatar also reaffirmed its full solidarity with Oman. The ministry confirmed that Qatar supports all measures Oman takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability. In particular, officials highlighted Oman’s role in promoting dialogue and reducing tensions in ongoing regional conflicts. Consequently, Qatar called on all parties to respect international law and refrain from actions that could further escalate tensions.

In its statement, the Qatari Ministry underscored the importance of regional unity and cooperation. Qatar remains committed to supporting Oman in protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring the safety of civilians and commercial operations. Moreover, Qatar emphasized that attacks on economic and logistical hubs threaten not only the affected country but the entire region’s stability and development.

The ministry also urged the international community to condemn such aggressive acts and hold accountable those responsible for targeting peaceful and strategic facilities. In addition, Qatar expressed its readiness to coordinate with Oman and other Gulf states to enhance security measures and strengthen regional resilience.

Through this statement, Qatar reaffirmed that defending sovereignty, supporting peaceful mediation, and promoting regional stability remain top priorities. The solidarity between Qatar and Oman reflects a shared commitment to diplomatic solutions and collective security. Qatar solidarity with Oman demonstrates the country’s dedication to regional cooperation and protecting Gulf nations from hostile actions.
