Oman Air Clarifies Ticket Prices for Muscat-Salalah Flights

Muscat: Oman Air has issued a statement addressing recent concerns about ticket prices for flights between Muscat and Salalah. The airline clarified its pricing structure, particularly for Omani citizens traveling on domestic routes.

Oman Air emphasized that it offers fixed prices for Omani citizens flying in Economy Class on this route year-round. These fixed prices apply to both the Saving Tourism and Flexible Tourism categories. For the Saving Tourism category, the price is OMR 61 for a round-trip ticket. This includes 7 kg of cabin baggage but no checked baggage. The Flexible Tourism category offers a round-trip ticket at OMR 64. This includes 7 kg of cabin baggage and 20 kg of checked baggage.

The airline also highlighted its variety of travel options, including Economy Class tickets that come with 30 kg of checked baggage. These tickets are priced at OMR 87. Additionally, Oman Air provides several Business Class options, with varying prices based on the time of booking and availability. The airline clarified that some confusion had arisen. Business Class prices were mistakenly shared as Economy Class fares, particularly when Economy Class seats are sold out.

As the largest operator of flights to Dhofar Governorate, Oman Air operates five daily flights to Salalah. During the Khareef season and peak travel periods, the number of daily flights increases to approximately 12. To secure tickets at the fixed prices, Oman Air encourages passengers to book in advance, especially during busy travel times.

Oman Air reassured passengers that it remains committed to offering top-notch services. The airline focuses on providing a smooth and convenient travel experience for all passengers. It urged travelers to use the official Oman Air website (omanair.com) or mobile application. This will ensure the best service and rates.

In conclusion, Oman Air strives to offer clarity and transparency regarding its ticket pricing. The airline encourages its guests to utilize official channels for a better booking experience.
