Kuwait Pledges $1 Billion to Support Gaza Reconstruction

Kuwait pledges $1 billion to support Gaza reconstruction, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the Palestinian people. This announcement shows that Kuwait pledges $1 billion to support Gaza reconstruction as part of international efforts to rebuild the region. Moreover, the contribution reflects Kuwait’s dedication to humanitarian aid, peace initiatives, and regional stability.

The pledge was announced by Kuwait’s Foreign Minister during the first meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington. The session, led by US President Donald Trump, brought together representatives from 47 countries to coordinate reconstruction efforts. Kuwait’s contribution will be delivered over the coming years to support the council’s initiatives and alleviate the hardships of Palestinians.

Kuwait emphasized that support for Gaza aligns with its historical foreign policy priorities. The country continues backing efforts to achieve peace while addressing the humanitarian needs of affected communities. Furthermore, officials noted that international coordination is essential for transparent and effective reconstruction projects. The Board of Peace aims to mobilize resources and oversee large-scale rebuilding in Gaza efficiently.

The first session highlighted contributions from multiple nations, including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait. These countries collectively raised $7 billion as an initial fund to support reconstruction efforts. The United States pledged an additional $10 billion, while FIFA will contribute $75 million for soccer projects, and the United Nations will provide $2 billion for humanitarian aid.

Kuwait pledges $1 billion to support Gaza reconstruction as a reflection of its principled stance on the Palestinian cause. Officials stressed that the funding will prioritize sustainable projects, infrastructure rebuilding, and community support programs. They also highlighted the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the reconstruction process.

Experts estimate that Gaza’s full reconstruction may cost up to $70 billion. Therefore, international collaboration and targeted contributions remain critical. Kuwait’s pledge reinforces confidence in global cooperation while providing immediate assistance to communities in urgent need.

Overall, Kuwait pledges $1 billion to support Gaza reconstruction, demonstrating humanitarian leadership and continued diplomatic commitment. The initiative strengthens regional solidarity and advances long-term recovery efforts.
