Kuwait Strengthens Global Partnerships During National Celebrations

International partnerships took center stage as Kuwait marked its 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day worldwide. Embassies and consulates across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East hosted receptions attended by diplomats, government officials, journalists, and civil society representatives. These events highlighted Kuwait’s efforts to strengthen economic, cultural, and educational ties abroad.

Celebrations in London brought together senior officials from the British government, members of Parliament, and veterans of Kuwait’s liberation. The Kuwaiti ambassador said this turnout reflected a 250-year relationship, rooted in government cooperation and strong people-to-people links. He also noted the presence of over 11,300 Kuwaiti students in the UK and highlighted Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s role in supplying aviation fuel to European airports.

An interactive cultural installation, “The Immersive Sadu Experience,” introduced guests to traditional Kuwaiti crafts. British officials described the relationship with Kuwait as historic, deep, and friendly.

In Moscow, Kuwait’s ambassador highlighted national pride and cultural values, while Russian officials noted opportunities for collaboration in energy, education, and economic development. Analysts praised the role of Kuwaiti women in preserving culture and extending cultural outreach abroad.

In Shanghai, Kuwait marked 55 years of diplomatic relations with China. Officials praised shared trust and cooperation, especially in energy projects and joint initiatives linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Kuwait Vision 2035.

Islamabad’s celebrations emphasized resilience and unity during the 1990 invasion. Kuwaiti officials highlighted energy, agriculture, infrastructure, defense, and food security as priority areas for expanding cooperation. They also praised the Pakistani community in Kuwait as an important bridge strengthening bilateral ties.

Receptions in Warsaw, Rabat, Yerevan, Istanbul, and Pretoria reaffirmed long-standing diplomatic ties and explored economic, technological, and cultural collaboration. Officials also noted Kuwait’s consistent support for Palestine, aligning with its commitment to regional stability and humanitarian causes.

Through these celebrations, Kuwait reinforced the importance of international partnerships in promoting trade, investment, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connections. Authorities emphasized that global collaboration remains essential for achieving sustainable development and shared prosperity.

Looking ahead, Kuwait plans to continue strengthening international partnerships across all regions, using diplomacy and strategic cooperation to support long-term economic growth and cultural outreach.
