Bahrain Strengthens Global Tolerance Leadership with New Executive Appointment

Bahrain has reinforced its global commitment to coexistence and tolerance by appointing Muneera Al-Dosari as Executive Director of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance. This appointment highlights Bahrain’s determination to promote coexistence and tolerance at both national and international levels.

The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, who also chairs the Centre’s Board of Trustees, announced Al-Dosari’s appointment. He praised her extensive experience and ability to lead programs that foster coexistence and tolerance worldwide. Furthermore, he emphasized that Bahrain continues to set an example for respecting cultural and religious diversity while encouraging dialogue between civilizations.

Al-Dosari brings years of diplomatic and policy expertise. Previously, she led the Asian and Pacific Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has served in Bahrain’s diplomatic corps since 2010. In addition, she earned a master’s degree in international service from the American University in Washington, specializing in Middle East foreign and security policies.

Under her leadership, the Centre will develop programs that strengthen peaceful coexistence. Moreover, Al-Dosari will expand international partnerships and initiatives. These efforts aim to position Bahrain as a global hub for coexistence and tolerance.

The Minister also expressed gratitude to former Executive Director Abdullah Issa Al-Mannai for his dedication over the past two years. His work laid a strong foundation for the Centre’s current programs, enabling Al-Dosari to expand its impact.

Al-Dosari’s record shows success in cultural understanding, collaboration, and policy development. She will launch new initiatives and strengthen connections with international organizations. Consequently, Bahrain is expected to increase its influence as a model of coexistence and tolerance.

With new leadership, the Centre aims to promote peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding across borders. Additionally, Bahrain’s commitment to coexistence and tolerance remains central to its long-term strategy.

This appointment signals a renewed focus on embedding coexistence and tolerance into national and international policy. Al-Dosari is poised to lead with vision and ensure Bahrain’s role as a global example grows even stronger.
