Oman and Qatar Forge Strategic Tourism Alliance to Boost Regional Travel

Oman and Qatar have officially launched a partnership to enhance regional tourism cooperation, aiming to attract more international visitors to the Gulf. The announcement came during the World Travel Market in London 2025, one of the globe’s top travel exhibitions.

Through this alliance, Visit Qatar and Experience Oman, the promotional arm of Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will coordinate joint marketing campaigns. Consequently, tourists can explore both countries in one trip, improving travel convenience. This initiative strengthens regional tourism cooperation and highlights the Gulf as a unified tourism hub.

During the launch, executives emphasized that combining marketing strategies will offer visitors richer and more immersive experiences. Moreover, Italy, Spain, and China are targeted as primary markets for joint campaigns.

The partnership will produce integrated travel packages showcasing cultural heritage, authentic experiences, and affordable luxury. Furthermore, both nations plan coordinated roadshows, joint participation in global travel events, and collaboration with major tour operators to promote twin-center itineraries.

Officials also pointed out that this cooperation will increase visitor numbers, stimulate economic growth, and attract tourism investments. By simplifying travel procedures between Oman and Qatar, tourists gain smoother and more appealing options.

Additionally, better connectivity will encourage longer stays and higher spending. The initiative reflects a broader strategy to unify Gulf tourism and solidify regional tourism cooperation as a key economic pillar.

Both nations aim to draw travelers seeking genuine cultural experiences while highlighting modern infrastructure and heritage sites. They also seek to foster sustainable development and strengthen the tourism sector.

Finally, the launch of this alliance demonstrates how collaboration and innovation can expand the Gulf’s international tourism appeal. It marks a significant milestone for the region’s integrated travel strategy.
