Global Food Week 2025 Showcases Innovation and Sustainability in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi opened Global Food Week 2025 this week, highlighting innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration in the food sector. Moreover, the event brings together global leaders, experts, and innovators to discuss future food systems.

The exhibition runs from October 21 to 23 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Additionally, it features 2,070 companies from 75 countries. Emirati companies represent 1,055 exhibitors, making up 51 percent of total participants. Notably, 18 countries and 543 exhibitors join for the first time, reflecting growing global interest.

Organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), the event highlights key sectors. These include food innovation, agri-tech, supply chain and logistics, sustainability, nutrition, and food security. Furthermore, the diverse programs encourage collaboration between public and private sectors.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations plays a strategic role, providing insights on sustainable food production and climate change adaptation. Consequently, Abu Dhabi strengthens its status as a global hub for food dialogue and cooperation.

Global Food Week also hosts the 11th Abu Dhabi Date Palm Exhibition, bringing together 20 countries across 90 pavilions. This demonstrates Abu Dhabi’s leadership in sustainable date cultivation, production, and global collaboration.

This year, the Alternative Proteins initiative showcases innovative solutions to strengthen sustainable food systems. In addition, it connects investors, innovators, regulators, and service providers to develop new technologies and enhance efficiency.

Additionally, the event includes the AgriTech Forum for startups, the Agricultural Investment Exhibition highlighting sector opportunities, and the Hosted Buyers Program connecting over 400 international representatives with local suppliers. Together, these initiatives demonstrate Abu Dhabi’s commitment to creating an integrated food ecosystem.

Organizers emphasize operational excellence, ensuring smooth delivery of the event. Therefore, participants benefit from networking, knowledge sharing, and investment opportunities across the global food industry.

In conclusion, Global Food Week 2025 reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a hub for food innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration. Moreover, the event strengthens partnerships, drives investment, and inspires future food solutions worldwide.
