Rashid Equestrian Club Champions Tree Week with a Strong Green Vision

The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club marked its participation in Tree Week by planting new trees at its headquarters. This event reflects Bahrain’s continuous efforts to enhance environmental sustainability and strengthen the nation’s green initiatives.

The activity aligns with the vision of the country’s leadership to expand green spaces and preserve natural resources. The event supported the National Afforestation Plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035. This plan is a major step toward Bahrain’s target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.

Youssef Osama Buheji, CEO of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, took part in the tree-planting initiative alongside several officials. He also stated that the club’s participation highlights its deep commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and encouraging the community to take part in similar initiatives.

He also noted that afforestation plays a crucial role in improving air quality, reducing pollution, and enriching the quality of life. Through such activities, the club aims to create a healthier and more balanced environment for future generations.

Moreover, the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club continues to integrate sustainability goals into its daily operations. It regularly organizes campaigns that raise awareness about green practices and responsible resource management. By doing so, the club seeks to make environmental sustainability a key element of Bahrain’s national identity.

Buheji emphasized that the club’s ongoing efforts go beyond sports and racing. They represent a social and environmental responsibility to protect nature and promote community engagement. The club also works on developing new projects that expand green areas within its facilities, offering a positive example for other organizations to follow.

Tree Week activities serve as a reminder that small actions can lead to significant environmental progress. The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club’s participation stands as a symbol of dedication, teamwork, as well as long-term vision. With continued collaboration and awareness, Bahrain is steadily moving toward a greener, more sustainable future.
